University of Memphis student’s weigh their options at 2019 Spring Study Abroad Fair

Every semester the University of Memphis holds their first study abroad fair during the second week of classes in the lobby of the Michael D. Rose theatre on the University’s main campus to provide students with information about studying abroad and the different programs that are offered.
This semester, the first study abroad fair held on the University of Memphis’ campus was held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019.

After the first week of the season, the Memphis Tiger baseball team wishes their record of two wins and four losses was reversed.
But the erratic weather and rain cancelations have made it difficult for the Tigers to get into a good routine with the normal game day on the field, said University of Memphis Head Coach, Daron Schoenrock.

Christian Brothers High School Assistant Principal, Brother Joel McGraw was beginning his life a Catholic Brother during the Civil Rights Movement. Brother Joel has seen the worst in the battle against racism, but also seen how far society has come.
Brother Joel believes it would be a big step in the right direction concerning race, if everyone would replace the pronoun, they, and use the first-person pronoun, we.

Ridgeway Country Club thrives while other country clubs close their doors

Ridgeway Country Club member, Janet Ticer, used to spend her day’s socializing with friends while her husband played golf before they would enjoy dinner together at Germantown Country Club. When Germantown closed, Ticer was sad, but noticed a lot of her friends many friends from Germantown were joining Ridgeway and decided with her husband to join Ridgeway as well.
“It’s been a great transition,” Ticer said. “Better than expected, actually.”
